Samsung schedules July 9 Galaxy device event in Brooklyn

Seoul, South Korea - Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. (005930.KS) will host a product launch event on July 9 in Brooklyn, New York, to introduce new Galaxy devices featuring artificial intelligence interfaces, the company announced on Tuesday.

The South Korean technology manufacturer has distributed invitations for Galaxy Unpacked 2025, scheduled for 10 a.m. Eastern Time at an undisclosed venue in Brooklyn. 

The presentation will be live-streamed on Samsung.com, Samsung Newsroom, and the company's YouTube channel, with broadcasts at 3 p.m. British Summer Time and 4 p.m. Central European Time.

Samsung named the event "The Ultra Experience Is Ready To Unfold" and stated that next-generation Galaxy devices have been "reimagined around a new AI-powered interface, supported by breakthrough hardware built to unlock their full potential."

The company stated that artificial intelligence is "rapidly becoming the new user interface" and described smartphones as evolving into "a smart companion that understands user intent and responds in real-time." 

Samsung characterized this development as a shift "from reaction to anticipation" where "intent becomes instant" as AI assumes interface functions.

Samsung selected Brooklyn for what it described as the borough's "extraordinary spirit and distinctive history," citing it as a location where visionary thinking and bold ideas shape the future."

The manufacturer stated it has designed devices around user requirements, including "better performance, sharper cameras, and smarter ways to stay connected." 

Samsung positioned its Galaxy AI technology as extending beyond device capabilities to focus on user interaction methods.
