Seoul, South Korea - SK Hynix announced on Thursday that it has launched an artificial intelligence platform and disclosed its development timeline through 2025.

The South Korean memory chipmaker said it began beta testing four applications in July.

The applications target equipment maintenance, policy analysis, human resources operations, and meeting functions, the company said.

SK Hynix stated that it began beta testing for "LLM Chat" in August. The service provides employees with access to company data through a secure network interface, according to the company.

The company stated that it is developing "A.Biz" in collaboration with SK Telecom for deployment in November.

The service will handle administrative and specialized tasks, SK Hynix said.

The company outlined development phases: native RAG plus LLM in 2023, agent and working tools in 2024, and agentic AI and agent orchestration in 2025.

SK Hynix defined agentic AI as systems that operate without human intervention. The company stated that the July applications utilize this technology.

The company said it targets the implementation of systems where multiple AI agents operate independently.

SK Hynix said this would involve resource optimization and workflow management.

SK Hynix said it plans to integrate the services and connect manufacturing systems. The company said this addresses existing interface limitations.

The company said it formed a data science organization in 2017 and an AI transformation team in 2024.

SK Hynix stated that it supplies high-bandwidth memory products while developing its internal capabilities.

The company stated that it will develop semiconductor-specific agent AI and advance agent orchestration technology in 2025.
