Seoul, South Korea - SK Telecom (NYSE: SKM) said it released version 4.0 of its A. artificial intelligence service with "Agentic Workflow" technology.

The company stated that the technology enables the AI agent to set goals and plan tasks based on previous conversations with users, thereby moving beyond responding only to direct requests.

A. has 10 million subscribers 22 months after launch, with 8.1 million monthly active users, SK Telecom said. Users access the service through various channels, including apps, web, phone, BTV, and messaging platforms.

The Agentic Workflow includes four elements: planning, tool use, multi-agent collaboration, and reflection.

SK Telecom implemented an "Agent Orchestrator" that analyzes requests, plans tasks, and selects sub-agents.

The Agent Orchestrator performs input reconstruction using conversation history and stored memory data, planning that divides requests into steps, and task management that activates sub-agents.

Users can view and delete stored memory data through a management menu.

Music and stock agents previously offered separately are now integrated as sub-agents. Users can request weather-appropriate music recommendations and receive playlists playable within the A. app.

Users with FLO subscriptions can play full songs after account linking, while others get one-minute previews.

The scheduling function enables multiple simultaneous additions, modifications, and deletions, with seamless integration between Google Calendar and Outlook.

Voice mode recognizes additional questions during responses and processes multiple requests from a single statement.

SK Telecom added an "emotional mode" offering three conversation types: counseling, lunar advice (including dream interpretation and fortune telling), and childhood friend interactions.

The user interface was redesigned with a left tab menu for music and stock preferences.

The scheduling function received background images and color options.
