Barcelona, Spain — SK Telecom (NYSE: SKM) announced that its Haein graphics processing unit (GPU) cluster was named the 'Best Cloud Solution' at the GSMA Global Mobile Awards (GLOMO) 2026, held during MWC Barcelona.

The Haein infrastructure functions as a unified cluster that integrates more than 1,000 NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs.

SK Telecom utilizes this hardware to offer GPU-as-a-Service (GPUaaS), supplying computing environments for artificial intelligence (AI) model training and inference workloads.

The Ministry of Science and ICT has selected the Haein cluster for a national program supporting the development of South Korea's Sovereign AI Foundation Models, according to the company.

Kim Myung-gook, Head of GPUaaS Business at SK Telecom, stated that the company intends to expand Korea's sovereign AI ecosystem and further strengthen the nation's position in the global AI sector.

This is the third consecutive year in which SK Telecom has received the 'Best Cloud Solution' award at the GLOMO Awards.

The company has received 24 GLOMO awards since 2013, during a period in which its focus has shifted from network technology to data platforms and AI infrastructure.

Previous GLOMO awards for the company include the CTO's Choice Award, as well as network-related recognitions for LTE-A in 2014 and Quality of Experience-based SDN control technology in 2016.

Between 2019 and 2021, the company received awards for data-driven services, such as the T Map platform in 2019 and the Happy Coding School program in 2020.

Recent awards, including Litmus in 2023 and Petasus AI Cloud in 2025, are consistent with the company's stated strategy of transitioning to an AI-focused enterprise spanning mobility, security, and cloud domains.
