Sneaker Trading Surges After Celebrity Social Media Posts

KREAM platform reports significant increases in sneaker search activity and trading volumes following celebrity social media posts in South Korea.

Seoul, South Korea - KREAM, a limited edition trading platform, released data showing percentage changes in search activity and transaction volumes for specific sneaker models during the three months ending August 31.

The platform analyzed user data from individuals aged 10-30, comparing the period from March 1 to May 31, 2025, against the period from June 1 to August 31, 2025, according to company documentation.

Search activity for ALO Sunset Sneakers increased by 469 percent within 24 hours following social media posts by model Kendall Jenner wearing the product.

PUMA H-Street OG recorded a 7,618 percent increase in user saves and a 33,700 percent increase in trading volume after appearances by performer Rose.

Mizuno Racer Trail SE, which lacks official distribution in South Korea, recorded an 85 percent increase in trading volume and a 30 percent increase in saves following social media circulation.

New Balance x Tokyo Design Studio saw a 1,430 percent increase in sales within 24 hours after being featured in YouTube content with actor Bong Tae-gyu.

On Running x Post Archive Faction experienced an 11 percent increase in saves after being highlighted in content by Red Velvet member Seulgi.

Nike x Hyein Seo reached prices 1.6 times higher than the retail value after the product launch.

The data indicated continued demand for Nike Air Force and Adidas Samba models while showing increased attention toward alternative products among younger users.

A company representative stated that recent sneaker trends have included models that gained prominence through social media or celebrity influence, leading to increased trading activity and interest among younger users.
