Socar Expands Distribution via Nol Universe Partnership

Seoul, South Korea - Socar, a car-sharing operator, announced Wednesday a partnership with Nol Universe to integrate its vehicle reservation services into the NOL mobile application.

Users of the NOL app can access Socar's vehicle fleet through a transportation menu beginning January 28.

The integration includes standard round-trip rentals from designated locations and a delivery service that brings vehicles to user-specified addresses.

The partnership represents Socar's second external platform integration following an arrangement with Naver implemented in June 2024.

Lee Woo-chul, head of Socar's car-sharing product division, said the company is expanding partnerships with industry participants to increase service accessibility.

Socar and Nol Universe will conduct a promotional period through February 28.

Users booking through the NOL app will receive a 50 percent discount on rental fees and an additional KRW 10,000 off the rental fee for compact cars and small sport utility vehicles.

The promotion includes a 5 percent credit in NOL points applicable to accommodation or leisure bookings within the platform.

Socar said the expansion of external platform partnerships follows data showing an increase in new users acquired through third-party platforms.

The company said it plans to identify additional high-traffic lifestyle platforms for integration.
