VANDENBERG SPACE FORCE BASE, CA — Spacecoin announced Saturday the launch of three satellites into low-Earth orbit, marking the second deployment for the blockchain-based company.

The three CTC-1 satellites lifted off at 10:18 a.m. Pacific Time on a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket from Vandenberg Space Force Base and entered their assigned orbits, the company said.

The satellites are intended to test data relay between spacecraft, network synchronisation, and ground station links.

Spacecoin launched its first satellite, CTC-0, in December 2024.

The company plans to launch three additional satellites by the end of 2025.

Spacecoin holds U.S. Patent No. 12335739, granted in June, for a system called Proof of Location, which is designed to verify GPS data and prevent spoofing.

Spacecoin aims to provide satellite internet service to an estimated 2.6 billion people without reliable connectivity.

The project is built on the Creditcoin blockchain and led by Gluwa.

Near Space Launch, Arrow Science and Technology and DornerWorks provided satellite manufacturing, hardware integration and mission control support, the company said.
