Seoul, South Korea - TechTaka has established a subsidiary in Japan, with revenue from the country now representing 25% of the company’s total sales, as reported on Wednesday.

Founded in 2020, TechTaka connects to over 600 e-commerce platforms worldwide, including TikTok Shop, Qoo10, Shopify, and Naver Smart Store.

The company offers air and sea transportation services alongside logistics through its platform, Argo, which includes Amazon FBA logistics.

Increased inquiries from clients interested in entering the Japanese market and growing demand for South Korean beauty products, fashion items, and convenience foods have been identified as factors driving the expansion.

The subsidiary in Japan will collaborate with local logistics partners to manage customs clearance, provide warehouse services, and address regulatory issues.

TechTaka also plans to establish logistics bases in Europe and Southeast Asia and to build logistics centers in the central and eastern United States.

CEO Soo Young Yang stated, “Starting with the Japan subsidiary, we will advance to operating direct local warehouses and support domestic sellers entering Japan's TikTok Shop.” The company intends to facilitate logistics services in both directions between Japan and South Korea.

TechTaka has been selected as an Amazon external service provider and secured a third round of investment from Naver D2SF in July 2024.

Additionally, the company is part of the Naver Fulfillment Alliance and has achieved a same-day shipping rate approaching 100%.

The logistics sector has seen increased activity as e-commerce companies expand cross-border operations in Asia.
