TOKYO, Japan — LY Corporation has introduced an artificial intelligence pricing function for its Yahoo! Flea Market application, the company announced Monday.

Users submit product photographs through the LINE messaging service.

The system returns price estimates, product categories, and listing text, according to the company.

The function provides shipping and packaging suggestions.

A December 2024 survey conducted by LY Corporation found that 33 percent of 1,056 respondents aged 15 to 69 cited uncertainty over pricing when listing items.

The application recorded 30 million cumulative downloads as of August 2025, according to the company.

The number of listed products increased by 130 percent in May 2025 compared to May 2024.

An October 2024 survey indicated that 59 percent of respondents with selling experience expressed interest in the new function, the company said.

The system runs on Google Cloud's Vertex AI platform using the Gemini API.

Users can add the Yahoo! Flea Market LINE account and select the AI pricing function.

The system then generates draft listings for review before publication through the application.

LY Corporation stated that it does not guarantee the reliability, accuracy, or completeness of AI-generated information.

Users are advised to verify pricing information before listing items, the company said.
