Seoul, South Korea - Softbank Vision Fund-backed Yanolja has implemented OpenAI's ChatGPT Enterprise platform, becoming the first travel industry company in the country to adopt the system, the company said Friday.

Yanolja stated that the deployment is part of its strategy to integrate generative artificial intelligence technology into internal operations and the travel sector.

The company said the implementation targets improved operational efficiency and productivity.

The company plans to use the platform for price prediction, real-time fare adjustments, travel product recommendations, and hotel operations, according to the statement.

Yanolja stated that it aims to offer travel services beyond standard booking functions.

The company said it is considering additional collaboration areas, including API integration projects, traveler data platform development, and sustainable travel initiatives.

Andy Brown, OpenAI's Asia-Pacific business director, said artificial intelligence could change travel industry operations and customer service methods.

Brown said the companies expect the collaboration to enable improved industry operations and provide users with travel experiences globally.

Jeff Kim, CEO of Yanolja Cloud, stated that the adoption of OpenAI Enterprise would support the development of travel technology.

Kim said the company plans to use artificial intelligence across its operations and pursue automation and data platform projects.

The partnership follows earlier collaboration between the companies that began in February and involved OpenAI's Operator AI agent model for Asian markets.

Yanolja integrated its travel data with the Operator model to provide search and booking functions for users in Asia using the company's inventory and data.

The February project enabled Yanolja to showcase its data capabilities and AI development within the global AI sector, the company stated.

Yanolja provides booking and operational technology solutions for hospitality and travel companies.
