Indianapolis, IN - Kia America debuted at Work Truck Week 2024, unveiling two concepts of its new Purpose-built Vehicles (PBVs), the PV5 and PV7.

This marks a significant step for the South Korean automaker as it expands into more specialized commercial transportation solutions.

The smaller PV5 concept is designed for versatility, with potential applications including ride-hailing, deliveries, and even robot taxi services.

The larger PV7 will offer more interior space and an extended all-electric range.

While details are limited, Kia is targeting a U.S. launch for the PV5 in 2026.

Kia's participation in the event follows the recent unveiling of its all-electric "Platform Beyond Vehicles" at CES.

The company aims to position itself as a major player in sustainable mobility solutions and sees this new segment as an integral part of its "Plan S" growth strategy.

In addition to vehicles, Kia will showcase advanced fleet management solutions.

These solutions integrate real-time data and artificial intelligence to provide predictive maintenance and intelligent route planning to maximize efficiency for fleet users.
