KT, Daedong Partner for AI-Driven Agricultural Innovation

Seoul, South Korea - KT (NYSE: KT) and Daedong (KRX: 000490) have entered into a partnership to develop artificial intelligence (AI)-based precision farming services and robotic systems for the agricultural sector. 

The partnership will focus on five key areas: developing AI-based agricultural robotics, innovating AI technologies based on Large Language Models (LLM), creating smart farming solutions using on-device AI, expanding the robotics business in both the agricultural and non-agricultural sectors, and building a data platform for the Daedong Group.

The collaboration aims to leverage KT's expertise in AI, big data, and cloud computing to drive innovation in agricultural technology and explore the growing market for agricultural AI solutions. 

Daedong, known for its contributions to agricultural mechanization, has recently embarked on a transformation journey to become an AgTech company by focusing on three new business areas: smart agricultural machinery, smart mobility, and smart farming.

Meanwhile, through this partnership, KT aims to expand its AI and robotics platform business to the agricultural sector.
