Tokyo, Japan — LY Corporation announced on Tuesday its plan to implement 10 new generative AI tools within its human resources and general affairs departments by spring 2026.

The initiative is projected to reduce labor requirements within its Corporate Business Unit by more than 1,600 hours per month.

The tools will address recruitment, labor management, internal inquiries, and career development functions.

This follows a July 2025 directive requiring the company's approximately 11,000 employees to incorporate generative AI into daily workflows.

The company classifies generative AI as a business support tool.

The company maintains a human-in-the-loop policy under which all AI outputs are treated as reference information.

Final decisions and actions remain under the authority of human personnel.

The Corporate Business Unit coordinates with the company's AI governance department to manage implementation.

The governance framework evaluates the scope of AI applications based on information type and potential impact on employees.

Security measures include internal guidelines, employee education, and continuous performance monitoring.

The 2026 rollout comprises several function-specific tools.

In the recruitment strategy, AI will process qualitative survey data, correct inconsistencies, and apply labels to support data visualization for branding purposes.

An on-demand interview training environment will use generative AI to simulate interviews and provide feedback to hiring managers.

Administrative systems will integrate with Google Workspace to automate interview scheduling and consolidate HR timelines.

A career support tool called "Career Autonomy AI" will match employees' skills and interests with internal job openings.

An "Internal Recruitment Activation AI" will assist employees in drafting experience summaries for internal applications through prompted interactions.

The company said the integration is intended to redirect effort from manual administrative processing to organizational development activities.

LY Corp indicated it will continue to adjust its AI governance and operational protocols as implementation progresses toward the spring 2026 target date.
