Seoul, South Korea - Naver D2SF has invested in Sorcerics, a startup developing home automation technology, the firms said on Monday.

The startup has developed a system that uses a single camera and a large language model to process data locally rather than through cloud services, the company said.

The technology analyzes user gestures, movements, and room conditions.

The device runs five artificial intelligence models simultaneously and costs a quarter as much to produce as competing products, the company said.

It adjusts home functions based on user activity.

The founding team includes former employees of Google and other technology companies, according to the statement.

Sorcerics is testing the product in North America and plans to launch a Kickstarter campaign in the first quarter of 2026. The company will exhibit at CES 2026.

About 48 percent of North American households have at least one smart home device.

Yang Sang-hwan, chief executive of Naver D2SF, said more than 80 percent of the firm’s portfolio companies target global markets. Sorcerics is hiring across multiple functions.
