NAVER, Samsung C&T Target Smart Construction, Saudi Expansion

Seoul, South Korea - NAVER and Samsung C&T have announced a wide-ranging business agreement focused on digitized construction solutions in domestic and international markets. 

The collaboration will prioritize the creation of technologically advanced office environments, global market expansion, and using ICT to streamline the construction industry.

NAVER Cloud and NAVER Labs will drive the technological aspects of the partnership, contributing their expertise in AI, cloud, autonomous driving, robotics, and 5G. 

Samsung C&T will leverage its construction capabilities and proven track record in technology-driven projects like NAVER's 1784 Building and Riyadh Metro.

A key focus of the agreement is expansion into Saudi Arabia. 

The two companies will combine resources to pursue large-scale construction opportunities such as data centers, airports, and smart cities in the country. 

In addition, the companies plan to innovate the construction industry by infusing it with AI, robotics, autonomous driving, and XR technologies.
