Seoul, South Korea—Naver Corp (035420. KS) announced today that it has transformed its MY Place service from a review platform into a personalized local content management system, integrating reviews, reservations, and map functionalities.

The upgraded service will be available through Naver's mobile application and web platform, with an optimized mobile map application update scheduled for December 2024, the company said in a statement.

MY Place, launched in 2019 as a local review platform, allows users to manage reservations, order status, train ticket information, and location visit timelines in a single interface.

The platform uses Naver's artificial intelligence recommendation system, AirSPACE, to suggest nearby attractions based on users' reservations.

The system provides up-to-date weather information and route options for upcoming visits, eliminating the need for a separate search.

Users can access a new Timeline feature that displays upcoming reservations, completed bookings, orders, transportation tickets, and photo or video reviews.

The system includes filtering options and date search capabilities, with visited locations marked as icons on an interactive map.

According to Choi Ji-hoon, Naver's place content leader, the company plans to enhance the Timeline feature by incorporating navigation and route guidance history through the Naver map service.

"Naver has established a comprehensive local service lineup encompassing convenience features from reservations and orders to place reviews and maps," said Choi. "The renovated MY Place will serve as a centralized platform for users to manage their location-related activities."

The service aims to strengthen the synergy between Naver's various local services, including reservations, maps, and place reviews, by providing personalized local content based on user activity history.
