Samsung Electronics Switzerland has partnered with Bottneuro AG, a Swiss MedTech startup focused on developing solutions for Alzheimer’s disease, on creating a diagnostic and treatment solution using the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8+ 5G Enterprise Edition hardware.

Bottneuro’s cutting-edge technology uses 3D magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and positron emission tomography (PET) data to identify areas of the brain affected by Alzheimer’s disease.

The identified regions can be targeted and electronically stimulated using Miamind® neurostimulation technology.

The Galaxy Tab S8+ 5G Enterprise Edition stores and records therapy data in the Bottneuro solution, and its graphical interface makes it easy to use.

The Galaxy Tab S8+ 5G Enterprise Edition features a high-resolution Super AMOLED display, 5G data connectivity, and long battery life.

These features allow patients to remain in the comfort of their homes while treatment information is automatically transmitted to Bottneuro AG.

The device can also be customized through Samsung Knox, ensuring that sensitive data and medical records remain secure and confidential.

The Miamind® neurostimulator is powered directly by the Galaxy Tab S8+ 5G Enterprise Edition, making it easy to use and understand for patients with impaired cognitive function.

Bottneuro AG’s treatment will be evaluated in several clinical trials this year.

While the treatment is not yet commercially available, Samsung and Bottneuro AG are optimistic about its potential to treat Alzheimer’s disease.

Samsung has been collaborating with Bottneuro AG since its inception in 2021.

Daniele Casella, Head of MX B2B Mobile at Samsung Switzerland, said: “We are pleased to offer Bottneuro AG a reliable, secure, and simple solution with Samsung Knox and to support their novel therapeutic approach.
