Samsung Electronics The Wall All-in-One, a 146-inch 4K display with Micro LED technology, currently displays a digital version of artist Park Seo-Bo's "Écriture" series at New York's Rockefeller Center.

This is part of the exhibition "Origin, Emergence, Return," which opened on July 10 in collaboration with the artist and Johyun Gallery.

Why It Matters: The fusion of Samsung's technology and Park's art represents a new phase in the evolution of digital art and marks Park's first digital rendering.

The Key Points

  • Samsung's "The Wall All-in-One" digitally reproduces Park's artwork by capturing the original art in 56 ultra-high resolution segments.
  • The unit, which won the "2023 Best of Show" award at the Integrated Systems Europe and InfoComm 2023 exhibitions, showcases a blend of technological sophistication and ease of installation.
  • The exhibition, which runs through July 23, also includes Samsung's 85-inch Neo QLED 8K Signage, which features videos and documentaries about Park's artistic process, and more than 40 pieces of Park's artwork.
  • Hoon Chung, executive vice president of the Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics, said the company is honored to showcase Park's work through its technology.

The Big Picture: This collaboration between Samsung and Park Seo-Bo underscores the increasing integration of technology and art, offering potential growth opportunities in the digital art landscape.
