Tokyo, Japan—SoftBank Corp. announced the launch of "Tobideru" on September 6, a service that enables users to view 3D photos and videos on smartphones without specialized eyewear.

The service requires a paid protective glass screen and a free application to convert existing smartphone content into 3D format.

Demo units will be installed in SoftBank stores across Japan for customer trials.

The service utilizes artificial intelligence to convert photos and videos into 3D automatically.

SoftBank also offers limited-edition content cards featuring entertainers from talent agencies such as LDH.

Initially, "Tobideru" is compatible with iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 models, and support will be extended to Android devices.

The protective glass, priced at JPY 7,200 including tax, will be available through SoftBank stores and the online retailer "Toreteku! SoftBank Selection" operated by SB C&S Corp.

The service aims to provide users with a new method of viewing memories with increased visual depth.
