Seoul, South Korea / AUSTIN, TX - Digital Turbine acquired ONE Store International to expand alternative app marketplace across major markets, challenging dominant app store operators.

The acquisition follows Digital Turbine's February 2024 equity investment in parent company ONE Store, which operates South Korea's second-largest app marketplace.

ONE Store currently serves 38 million users with nearly $1 billion in annual transactions through its marketplace platform.

Digital Turbine plans to expand the marketplace services across North America, the European Union, and Latin America regions.

The company will integrate its SingleTap technology with ONE Store's marketplace to enable smoother app installations for developers.

Digital Turbine CEO Bill Stone cited existing high fees and rigid policies in the current app economy as key drivers for the acquisition.

ONE Store CEO Peter Chun confirmed the partnership aims to create an alternative ecosystem supporting developer success and market competition.

The companies are developing new solutions to bring the expanded app store experience to iOS devices.

The partnership leverages Digital Turbine's device footprint with ONE Store's marketplace experience to create growth opportunities for mobile operators and developers globally.

ONE Store's major shareholders include SK Square, Naver, Microsoft, Krafton, KT, and LGU+.

Digital Turbine, based in North America, maintains global operations in mobile consumer experiences sector.

Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

The companies expect to align expansion with regulatory frameworks, including the Digital Markets Act in the European Union.
