SEOUL, South Korea - Naver Corp said on Wednesday its AI-powered shopping service, Naver Plus Store, achieved conversion rates and purchase frequency more than 200 percent higher than its previous online shopping services, based on company data.

The company said its standalone Naver Plus Store app, launched in March, recorded daily average purchases per visitor and conversion rates more than double those of the main Naver app’s recommendation shopping and price comparison services as of June.

Naver Plus members conducted 30 percentage points more of their shopping transactions through the standalone app than through the main Naver app.

Between October 2024 and June 2025, the number of sellers using subscription solutions increased by 52 percent year-over-year, while buyers using subscription services rose by 18 percent.

Additionally, related transaction volumes grew by 26 percent, the company stated.

Naver removed usage fees for its subscription solution service in June, following the restructuring of commissions in March.

Naver cited results from two merchant brands.

Specialty coffee brand Momo's Coffee, which adopted subscription solutions in October 2024, reported a 29 percent increase in average monthly subscription transaction volume and a 31 percent month-on-month rise in subscription orders.

The brand’s June transaction volume was 5.8 times higher than in October 2024.

Premium water brand Dr. Core reported that subscription applications increased nearly sixfold year-over-year after introducing priority shipping and price discounts for subscribers.

A company representative said the subscription solution enabled demand forecasting, supporting short-term financial planning.

The company plans to expand its AI Shopping Guide service to include golf, hiking, and camping product categories in August, in addition to the current digital and home appliance categories.

Chief Executive Officer Soo Yeon Choi said signals suggest regular customer-based commerce is emerging around the Naver Plus Store.

She said many users are experiencing AI-driven shopping recommendations since the app’s launch.

"We plan to strengthen promotional and marketing strategies and focus technology investment on increasing the retention of regular users," Choi said.

The company stated that its AI commerce services enhance recommendation accuracy as repeat purchase data and user interest patterns accumulate over time.
