SK Telecom Collaborates with Qualcomm and INTEGRIT.

SK Telecom (NYSE: SKM) is partnering with Qualcomm Technologies and INTEGRIT to develop an open robot data platform to expand the AI robot ecosystem.

The companies will jointly develop the “Open Robot Platform.”

In addition, SKT will lead the standardization of security/authentication and data sets for robots/devices to be connected to the platform.

Qualcomm will be the Qualcomm Robotics RB5 platform developer and the Qualcomm AI engine.

At the same time, INTEGRIT plans to develop and promote robot development kits incorporating SKT and Qualcomm solutions.

INTEGRIT will also conduct testing to verify and certify robot interoperability.

SKT will provide hardware like 5G and high-resolution cameras and core software like autonomous driving, AI vision, and voice interaction as embedded frameworks.

The open robotics platform aims to overcome the scalability limitations of existing robot operating systems.

It will be demonstrated at the SKT booth at MWC23 as applied to commercial robots.

The business agreement is expected to create value and revitalize the robot ecosystem.
