Santa Clara, CA—LG Electronics announced the launch of its NOVA Partner Alliance Program, which aims to foster collaboration between corporate partners and startups for technology and business development.

The program, led by LG NOVA, LG Electronics North America Innovation Center, seeks to extend the company's mission of co-creating new ventures with startups to its corporate partners.

Initial partners include Fujitsu Research of America, Hyundai CRADLE, IBM, Mayo Clinic Innovation Exchange, Niantic, and the West Virginia Department of Economic Development.

The alliance will focus on generating and exploring new concepts, developing and validating ideas, collaborating on innovative product solutions, or co-creating new businesses.

Dr. Sokwoo Rhee, corporate executive vice president for Innovation at LG Electronics and head of LG NOVA, said the program aligns with the company's core mission to create an ecosystem for startups to thrive.

According to Kevin Chong, LG NOVA's head of corporate and business development, the company aims to create more opportunities for startups to find industry partners and achieve commercial success on a larger scale.

The program will leverage resources from LG Electronics' existing business units and tap into the startup pipeline available through LG NOVA's Mission for the Future initiative.

LG NOVA and its new partners plan to discuss their goals at the 2024 LG NOVA InnoFest, which is scheduled for Sept. 25-26 in San Francisco.
