Seoul, South Korea - Samsung Electronics announced the global launch of its 3D Map View feature, an advancement in smart home management powered by SmartThings and AI technology.

First introduced at CES 2024, the feature is now available in all countries with access to SmartThings.

3D Map View transforms accurate floor plans into virtual images within the SmartThings app, allowing users to monitor and control their connected devices efficiently.

By providing a comprehensive view of the entire home, the feature eliminates the need to locate each device individually, streamlining the management process.

Leveraging Spatial AI technology in Samsung devices, such as the Bespoke Jet Bot™ with LiDAR sensors, the 3D Map View accurately measures and maps a home's layout.

This enhancement allows users better to understand their homes' shapes and spatial conditions, allowing for more intuitive device control.

As the number of connected devices in homes worldwide grows, Samsung's 3D Map View addresses the challenge of managing these devices efficiently.

The feature allows users to adjust lighting, temperature, air quality, and energy consumption using their smartphone or TV from anywhere, at any time.

Samsung plans to expand the Map View feature beyond residential homes by working with construction companies to integrate the technology into apartments and office spaces.

The company also plans to introduce additional features, such as an optimized user experience for large screens and a Quick Control feature for easy access to critical functions.
