Altos Ventures backed-Freewheelin, an edtech startup, has announced that its math education solution, Mathflat, has seen a 46% increase in revenue over the past year.

The company reported that total revenue for Mathflat and its 1:1 online student tutoring service, Pulley, increased 46% in 2022 compared to 2021.

According to surveys conducted with all customers in late 2021, the solution’s repurchase rate among teachers reached 97.6%, and more than 90% of respondents reported positive changes after using Mathflat.

The solution is trending in local districts, with 1 in 3 math academies in Daechi-dong, Gangnam, Seoul, and 1 in 4 in Mok-dong, Gyeonggi-do, Bundang, Bucheon, Pyeongchon, Anyang, and Beomeo-dong, Daegu, using Mathflat.

In addition, at a Korea-SAT score verification event targeting Mathflat users, 23rd-year students were confirmed with perfect mathematics scores, underscoring the solution’s effectiveness.

As awareness of customized mathematics instruction increases in public education, the number of schools implementing it also increases.

Mathflat’s press release states, “In Busan, 100 schools use Mathflat. It is expected that Mathflat will be used to teach math in even more locations in the future.”
