Hyundai Speeds Up Georgia EV Plant Production Schedule

Atlanta, GA - Hyundai Motor Group's Georgia plant will accelerate its production schedule. 

The Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America (HMGMA) will be located in Bryan County for $7.59 billion and create 8,500 jobs. 

The Georgia plant will be an intelligent manufacturing facility. 

According to the press release, all manufacturing processes - order entry, procurement, logistics, and production - will be optimized using AI and data.

The company has partnered with area colleges to create a new job pipeline.

The plant comes as Hyundai looks to expand its presence in the burgeoning North American EV market. 

The Georgia facility is vital to Hyundai's efforts to meet anticipated U.S. demand.
