Tokyo, Japan - South Korean fashion platform Musinsa signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Japanese online fashion platform ZOZOTOWN operator ZOZO, marking the first partnership between a Korean fashion company and the Japanese platform.

The agreement was signed at ZOZO headquarters, with Musinsa's co-CEOs, Jo Man-ho and Park Jun-mo, and ZOZO's President and CEO, Sawada Kotaro, in attendance, along with executives from both companies.

The partnership aims to expand Korean fashion brands' presence and sales in the Japanese market through joint initiatives.

ZOZO will provide distribution and marketing support to help Korean designer brands establish stable business operations in Japan.

Musinsa will serve as the domestic partner for South Korean designer brands that need more personnel and resources to enter the Japanese market, acting as a bridge between the two markets.

The companies collaborated through Musinsa's online pop-up store on ZOZOTOWN in the first half 2024.

The pop-up store showcased various Korean fashion brands to Japanese customers and featured limited-edition products created in collaboration with Japanese influencers.

"Musinsa has built a stable business environment through various experiments and challenges in the Japanese fashion market over the past two to three years," said Musinsa Co-CEO Jo Man-ho. "Through this MOU, we will continue various collaborations with ZOZO, Japan's largest fashion e-commerce company, to help Korean fashion brands expand their sales in the Japanese market."
