Wadiz Upgrades AI to Verify Crowdfunding Patent Claims

Seoul, South Korea - Wadiz announced an update to its artificial intelligence monitoring system to include automated verification of patent information for platform projects.

The updated system integrates image recognition technology to identify patent certificates submitted by project creators. 

It extracts and analyzes specific data points, including patent numbers and official registration status. 

Projects flagged with unverified or conflicting data are automatically separated and forwarded for human operator review, expanding the platform's intellectual property monitoring capabilities.

The system modification follows an incident detailed in the company's May 4 transparency report, in which a funding campaign for functional underwear was removed from the platform.

The AI system, supplemented by external reports, identified discrepancies between the project's public patent claims and official registration records.

Wadiz said the system upgrade addresses an increase in projects utilizing patent and technology claims in their funding materials.

The company publishes a weekly transparency report through the Wadiz Maker Center, outlining AI monitoring operational metrics and specific enforcement actions.
