The Abu Dhabi Convention and Exhibition Bureau (ADCEB) has opened its first representative office in South Korea to establish Abu Dhabi as a premier destination for meetings, incentive travel, conferences, and exhibitions.

The move comes in response to the recent relaxation of travel restrictions in South Korea, which is expected to boost demand for overseas travel MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions).

“We are excited to open our first representative office in South Korea to further establish Abu Dhabi as a premier destination for events MICE.”Expanding our network of international offices will help us extend Abu Dhabi’s reach to new markets.”Mubarak Al Shamisi, director of the Abu Dhabi Convention and Exhibition Bureau at DCT Abu Dhab

ADCEB provides financial and non-financial support for strategic business events, including the launch of the Advantage Abu Dhabi 2.0 subsidy program.

The program provides support services to event organizers throughout the planning cycle, including financial support and targeted ancillary benefits.

This year, ADCEB entered into a strategic partnership with Etihad Airways to support MICE tour groups traveling to Abu Dhabi.

The partnership provides eligible Advantage Abu Dhabi applicants with additional flight benefits, such as group booking discounts, complimentary flights for large MICE travel groups on direct flights, and special airfares for the site and destination visits.

ADCEB also manages or supports the application process for relevant conventions and influences the decision of event organizers to host their very first event or a geographic clone of their flagship events in Abu Dhabi.

The bureau recently renewed its memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Emirates Medical Association to attract more B2B conferences from the medical sector to the UAE capital.
