Seoul, South Korea - Parking lot searches near major baseball stadiums in South Korea surged over 300% year-on-year in the past three months, according to data released by mobility platform Socar's Modu Parking on Wednesday.

The data collected from July 1 to September 30 showed:

  • Highest search volumes occurred on Saturdays and Sundays
  • Mondays, when no games are played, saw the lowest search volumes

Jamsil Baseball Stadium in Seoul, home to Doosan Bears and LG Twins, topped the list with 1.2 million searches, nearly 1 million more than the second-ranked stadium.

Popular parking spots near Jamsil included Dongil Tower, MDM Tower, and Deogyoo Building.

The top five stadiums by parking searches were:

  • Jamsil Baseball Stadium, Seoul
  • Gocheok Sky Dome, Seoul
  • KT Wiz Park, Suwon
  • Hanwha Life Eagles Park, Daejeon
  • Sajik Baseball Stadium, Busan

The most popular parking pass was the holiday day pass, which averaged KRW 8,200.

Weekday day passes (avg. KRW 16,700) and holiday 12-hour passes (avg. KRW 8,600) followed.
