The festive season brings an unexpected pairing as BTS member V joins forces with the late Bing Crosby on a new rendition of "White Christmas."

Set for release on December 6, the project bridges a 47-year gap since Crosby's last cross-generational duet with David Bowie in 1977.

The collaboration emerged from V's documented appreciation for Crosby's work, mainly through social media engagement that caught the attention of the Crosby estate.

The project involves Primary Wave Music and Geffen Records, who are overseeing the technical aspects of merging V's contemporary vocals with Crosby's timeless performance.

"I grew up listening to his song 'It's Been a Long, Long Time' countless times a day," says V, whose recent solo album "Layover" debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200.

His contribution to this holiday standard adds a fresh dimension to Crosby's legacy while maintaining the original's warmth.

The Crosby family has embraced the project enthusiastically. "Their voices blend beautifully, capturing the holiday spirit in the best possible way," notes Mary Crosby, the legendary singer's daughter.

The release includes carefully curated collector's items: two vinyl variants (a Holiday Picture Disc and a Zoetrope Snowflake edition) and two CD versions, positioning the collaboration as both a musical event and a collectible opportunity for the season.
