Computex 2024 Highlights AI Innovations and Collaborations

Taipei, Taiwan—The 2024 edition of the Computex technology trade show concluded with 85,179 individuals engaged in information and communication technology (ICT) attending over the course of the four-day event. 

The "Connecting AI" exhibition showcased cutting-edge innovations from major industry players and startups.

The exhibitors presented diverse AI applications across a spectrum of sectors, including computing, automotive technology, advanced communications, and the metaverse. 

Notable product launches included AI-powered laptops from Acer and ASUS and comprehensive smart cockpit solutions presented by the Taiwan Advanced Automotive Technology Development Association.

Global technology leaders, including AMD, Qualcomm, Intel, MediaTek, Supermicro, NXP Semiconductors, and Delta Research Center, presented insights on the potential of leveraging key technologies to shape the future of AI. 

Moreover, the event witnessed the formation of new alliances between industry leaders, with NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang making unannounced appearances at the keynotes of Supermicro and MediaTek.

The startup exhibition area, InnoVEX, saw the highest number of participating countries. Startups displayed AI applications in healthcare, manufacturing, sports, pets, and tourism. 

The inaugural InnoVEX startup competition culminated in the award of the inaugural prize to Taiwan Polymer Material Company for its innovative recycled rubber materials.

Moreover, Computex 2024 introduced the Sustainable Design Award, which promotes green transformation within the industry. 

The BenQ Qisda Group received the gold award, while ASUS and Acer were awarded the silver medal in a tie.
