Seoul, South Korea / Tokyo, Japan - GC Company Corp., the operator of the Yeogi Eottae platform, is acquiring a 100% stake in Loco-Partners from Japanese telecommunications operator KDDI.

Loco-Partners operates Relux, a Japanese travel booking platform specializing in premium accommodations, including high-end hotels, resorts, and traditional ryokans.

The platform has approximately 3.8 million registered users.

The acquisition gives GC Company a presence in both the South Korean and Japanese travel markets.

In South Korea, the company operates the independent travel platform Yeogi Eottae and the package tour service Online Tour, managed by its subsidiary Yeogi Eottae Tour.

Following the acquisition, GC Company plans to integrate operations across the three platforms by sharing product planning, marketing strategies, and technology development resources.

The company's cross-border strategy includes listing South Korean travel products on the Relux platform and adding Relux's premium Japanese lodging inventory to the Yeogi Eottae application.

GC Company said it intends to target domestic travel demand in both countries, bilateral tourism between South Korea and Japan, and inbound tourists from third countries visiting the East Asian region.
