Las Vegas, NV—Honda Motor Co. unveiled two electric vehicle prototypes at the Consumer Electronics Show on Wednesday.

The prototypes are part of its new 0 Series lineup, which includes an SUV and a sedan with automated driving capabilities.

Honda will manufacture both vehicles at its EV Hub in Ohio.

The SUV will launch in North America in the first half of 2026, with the Saloon following in late 2026.

The company plans subsequent rollouts in Japan and Europe.

The vehicles will feature ASIMO OS, a new operating system that manages automated driving, driver assistance, and infotainment systems.

The system enables over-the-air updates to customize vehicle functionality.

The 0 Series will incorporate Honda's Level 3 automated driving technology, which allows drivers to divert attention from the road under certain conditions.

The system integrates Helm.ai's artificial intelligence with Honda's cooperative AI technology.

Honda has partnered with Renesas Electronics to develop a system-on-chip for future 0 Series models.

The companies target 2,000 TOPS AI processing performance with 20 TOPS/W power efficiency for vehicles launching in the late 2020s.

For charging, Honda has joined the IONNA network initiative, which aims to establish 30,000 charging stations by 2030.

The vehicles will be compatible with NACS connectors, accessing over 100,000 public fast-charging stations.

The company will integrate Amazon Web Services AI technology for charging services.

Honda will launch a Home Energy Management System with Emporia in 2026.

The system allows vehicles to function as power storage units, charging during off-peak hours and supplying power to homes during peak periods.

Both models feature steer-by-wire systems controlling steering, suspension, and brakes.

The SUV offers a spacious interior with flexible seating, while the Saloon maintains its wedge-shaped design with expanded interior space.

The company projects that home charging will constitute 80 percent of EV charging for these vehicles.
