Seoul, South Korea—Hyundai Motor Company and Toyota Motor Corporation staged their first joint motorsport festival in South Korea, marking an unprecedented collaboration between the automotive rivals to boost the country's motorsport culture.

The "Hyundai N x TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Festival" at Yongin Speedway featured both companies' high-performance production and racing vehicles, with top executives participating in demonstration runs.

Hyundai Motor Group Executive Chair Euisun Chung and Toyota Motor Corporation Chairman Akio Toyoda personally participated in the event, with Toyoda performing demonstration drives in a Yaris WRC vehicle.

The companies announced that all proceeds from the sold-out event would be donated to the Korea Automobile Racing Association (KARA) to support domestic motorsport development.

The festival included participation from professional drivers, including current WRC championship leader Thierry Neuville and Toyota WRC driver Takamoto Katsuta, alongside customer engagement activities such as track day events for owners of both brands' performance vehicles.

Both manufacturers showcased their next-generation high-performance vehicles.

Hyundai displayed its RN24 test vehicle and N Vision 74 hydrogen fuel cell hybrid, while Toyota exhibited its ORC ROOKIE GR Corolla H2 Concept and AE86 H2 concept.

The companies will next compete at the FORUM8 Rally Japan, the final round of the 2024 FIA World Rally Championship series, scheduled for November 21-24 in Aichi and Gifu prefectures.
