S. Korean beauty platform GangnamUnni raises $29.7M Series C round

Seoul, South Korea—Healing Paper, the operator of medical beauty platform GangnamUnni, announced on Monday that it has secured KRW 42.8 billion (US$29.7 million) in Series C funding.

Korea Investment Partners, Shinhan Venture Investment, KT Investment, IMM Investment, and Kiwoom Investment participated in the funding round. 

Premier Partners, InterVest, AJU IB Investment, and DSC Investment joined as follow-on investors.

Korea Investment Partners will join the company's board of directors following the investment.

GangnamUnni plans to accelerate its global expansion with the new funding. 

The platform, which launched in Japan in November 2019, provides hospital booking services for international patients seeking Korean medical facilities and local users accessing Japanese hospitals.

The company expanded into Thailand in November 2024 by launching a Thai-language version of its global service, UNNI.

The funding will support the expansion of GangnamUnni's B2B solutions for medical beauty hospitals. 

These solutions include specialized CRM software and photography equipment to enhance customer management and marketing capabilities.

Since its initial launch in 2015, the platform has served 7 million users across multiple languages, including Korean, Japanese, English, and Thai.
