KT Partners with Samsung on First AI Home Appliance Subscription

Seoul, South Korea—KT (NYSE: KT) announced on Tuesday that it has introduced "KT Home Appliance Subscription," a service that combines telecommunications, home appliances, and AI technology through a strategic partnership with Samsung Electronics.

According to the company, the subscription service allows customers who sign up for KT's "Internet" and "Genie TV" services to purchase premium home appliances at special rates while receiving AI-powered customized care services.

The offering features integrated management solutions beyond traditional after-sales services, including professional cleaning services and installation support when relocating appliances. 

KT stated that bundling with telecommunications products enables customers to maintain their appliances' performance and extend their lifespan more effectively.

Care services are tailored to customers' payment schedules. Customers choosing 36-month installment plans receive two premium care service visits, and those selecting 60-month plans receive four visits during their subscription period.

KT will initially offer Samsung Electronics' latest smart air conditioners with premium care options and plans to gradually expand to other smart home appliances, including refrigerators and washing machines.

KT offers new subscribers mobile gift certificates to mark the launch through its "Kkeodurim" life benefits platform and KT.com website.
