LG CNS has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with SAP for a strategic partnership to create a next-generation enterprise resource planning (ERP) system for Korean companies.
The two companies will work together to develop and jointly operate the ERP system optimized for Korean companies, which will be based on SAP’s S/4HANA ERP solution.
They will also explore new business opportunities based on their respective technology and expertise. In addition, the companies plan to expand their business collaboration with S/4HANA globally, starting with the Korean market.
The partnership will combine the ERP operational capabilities of LG CNS, which has been serving domestic and international customers in various industries for 25 years, with the expertise of SAP, the global ERP market leader. LG CNS will become a global strategic partner for SAP’s S/4HANA.
The next-generation ERP system is designed to enable customers to respond flexibly to changes in the business environment and provide continuous services.
The system includes Application Modernization (AM) technology, which divides applications into multiple services and runs them independently.
Customers can improve the system whenever they want by isolating and slimming down the ERP system, which was integrated with many functions. T
The new ERP system will also enable customers to make rational decisions based on large amounts of data.
For example, in manufacturing, data on the supply chain status will be analyzed in real time by artificial intelligence and machine learning to run practical management simulations.
LG CNS plans to further develop ERP by combining it with new technologies such as AM, AI, and machine learning to innovate and stably operate the ERP of Korean companies on a cloud basis.
LG CNS recently upgraded its ERP department to an “ERP Innovation Department.” The company’s ERP consultants have expertise in global ERP, cloud, AI, and other technologies.
Through this partnership, SAP’s headquarters product development organization and Enterprise Cloud Services (ECS), an operational organization dedicated to ERP, will participate in the project.
