LG Electronics launches advanced surgical monitor with FDA clearance.

Seoul, South Korea - LG Electronics (066570. KS) announced the launch of its new 31.5-inch surgical monitor (model 32HR734S) featuring Mini LED display technology after receiving 510(k) clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

The 4K resolution (3,840 x 2,160) monitor is designed for surgical endoscopes, laparoscopic camera systems, and other medical imaging equipment. 

It offers 2,000 cd/m² peak brightness, a 1,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, and utilizes 1,536 local dimming zones for enhanced image clarity.

Key specifications of the 32HR734S include:

  • 31.5-inch IPS panel with 16:9 aspect ratio
  • DCI-P3 98% color gamut coverage
  • 10-bit color depth
  • 5ms gray-to-gray response time
  • DICOM compliance for medical imaging

LG's surgical monitor incorporates durability features such as Optical Bonding technology and IP45-rated front protection against water and dust.

 The monitor also introduces a Clone Screen feature, allowing image duplication on a second monitor via an HDMI connection.

Connectivity options include HDMI, DisplayPort, SDI (12G / 3G), DVI-D inputs, and USB 3.0 ports. 

The device supports various image manipulation modes, including Mirror Mode for horizontal image flipping and Rotation Mode for 180-degree image rotation.

YS Lee, vice president and head of LG Business Solutions Company's IT business unit, stated, "We believe our new model will significantly boost efficiency for medical professionals performing and assisting with surgeries."

The 32HR734S weighs 9.7 kg and is compatible with 200 x 100 mm and 100 x 100 mm wall mount sizes, offering flexible installation options for surgical environments.
