SEOUL, South Korea — LG Electronics (LG) has announced the integration of its Automotive Content Platform (ACP), powered by webOS, into Kia Corporation's (Kia) latest all-electric SUV, the EV3.

This represents the inaugural deployment of LG's ACP in an electric vehicle, following its initial introduction in South Korea last year with Hyundai Motor Group's Genesis GV80 and GV80 Coupe.

The webOS-based ACP provides access to a range of content, including apps from premium content providers such as Netflix, YouTube, Baby Shark World for Kids, Stingray Karaoke, and Play. Works, and LG Channels.

The objective of the platform is to enhance the in-vehicle experience for passengers.

LG's ACP is a component of the company's AlphaWare suite of software solutions for software-defined vehicles (SDVs).

The platform is subject to continuous updates and enhancements.

Plans for expansion include the in-vehicle LG Channels service, which offers over 80 channels, real-time news updates, and more than 400 video-on-demand content options.

The integration of LG's ACP into Kia's EV3 represents a significant advancement in the development of in-vehicle entertainment systems, offering customers a superior road experience.
