LG Teams Up with will.i.am to Launch Next-Gen Audio Products

Seoul, South Korea - LG Electronics announced today a partnership with musician and tech entrepreneur will.i.am to launch a new line of audio products under the brand "xboom by will.i.am," with the initial product launch planned for CES 2025.

The company said in a statement that Will.i.am will serve as LG xboom's "Experiential Architect," providing strategic guidance for product development, design, and brand marketing.

The 2025 product line will include Bluetooth speakers and wireless earbuds, with xboom Buds scheduled as the first market release. The products will feature will.i.am's signature sound profile is rich bass with balanced and warm tones.

LG said the new audio devices will offer two distinct listening modes: one that focuses on stimulating sounds with powerful bass and another that delivers soothing sounds with harmonious tones.

The Bluetooth speakers will include easy-to-hold straps and interactive lighting synchronizing with music. The earbuds will incorporate ergonomic ear tips and hooks for improved fit and sound delivery.

According to the company, all products in the line will integrate with will.i.am's RAiDiO.FYI, an AI-powered platform that enables real-time conversations with topic-based STAiTiONS.

Lee Jeong-seok, head of LG Media Entertainment Solution Company's audio business division, said the launch represents the integration of the company's wireless earbuds and Bluetooth speakers into a single audio brand.

LG and will.i.am will showcase the new products at CES 2025, scheduled for January 7-10.
