LG Unveils AI-Powered Vehicle Platform to Transform Mobile Living

Seoul, South Korea - LG Electronics introduced a new mobility platform that extends its AI home technology into vehicles, the company announced on Thursday ahead of CES 2025.

The LG Mobility Experience (MX) platform transforms vehicle cabins into adaptable living spaces through a modular system incorporating the company's appliances and AI technologies.

The platform features a dual-cabin design with a driver's area and a customizable rear space that can be configured as a creator studio, business lounge, or relaxation area. 

LG plans to offer the system as a subscription service.

Powered by LG's ThinQ ON AI home solution, the platform enables users to control cabin conditions and access lifestyle services including schedule management and third-party services such as food ordering and hotel booking.

The system aligns with industry trends toward vehicles as personalized spaces rather than pure transportation, LG said. 

Users can equip the rear cabin with various appliances based on their preferences.

"The MX platform leverages LG's strength in appliances and AI home technology to present a new direction for mobility experiences," said Lyu Jae-cheol, president of LG's Home Appliance Solution Company.

The platform will be showcased at LG's booth at CES 2025 in Las Vegas from January 7-10, featuring demonstrations of its customizable space solutions and connected lifestyle features.
