Seoul, South Korea - LG Electronics announced today the launch of its 77-inch LG SIGNATURE OLED T, the world's first transparent and wireless 4K OLED television, with initial availability in the United States this December.

According to the company, the new television unveiled at CES 2024 features a self-lit screen that can transform from transparent to opaque with the touch of a button.

The device has garnered industry recognition, securing five CES 2024 Innovation Awards, including a Best of Innovation honor, and earned a place on TIME's Best Inventions 2024 list.

LG's transparent OLED incorporates several new features, including T-Objet, an Always-On-Display mode that converts the screen into a transparent digital canvas for artwork and photos.

The television also includes a T-Bar, an information ticker that appears along the bottom edge while maintaining transparency across the rest of the display.

The company's Zero Connect Box enables wireless video and audio transmission, supporting 4K resolution at a 120Hz variable refresh rate.

LG states this technology operates without latency and has received certification from NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible and AMD FreeSync Premium.

The television utilizes LG's α (Alpha) 11 AI processor for picture and sound optimization. This builds upon the company's decade of OLED innovation since its first market entry in 2013.

Park Hyoung-sei, president of LG Media Entertainment Solution Company, said the OLED T delivers "unprecedented spatial flexibility" and demonstrates the company's continued leadership in OLED technology innovation.

According to the company's press release, the 77-inch display can be positioned centrally in rooms or front of windows without blocking natural light or outdoor views.

Although specific timing and regions were not disclosed, LG plans to expand availability to additional markets. There has not been a launched in the U.S.
