Tokyo, Japan—LINE Gift, a service provided by LINE Yahoo Corporation that allows users to send various gifts to friends through the "LINE" app, recorded a 160% increase in transaction volume on Mother's Day this year compared to the previous year.

Moreover, since its launch in 2015, the service has achieved records for the highest daily transaction volume and a number of users.

The company attributed the growth to the introduction of new features, including the ability to engrave mothers' names on gifts, which proved highly popular.

The "name engraving function," introduced in April of this year, enables users to input names, messages, and motifs when selecting products.

Moreover, certain products exhibited a discernible increase in sales.

For instance, Aveda's "Paddle Brush" recorded a threefold increase compared to the previous year, with over 90% of orders featuring name engravings.

LINE Gift, which has over 30 million cumulative users as of May 2023, continues to expand its offerings with approximately 1,500 shops and 400,000 products available as of October and November 2023, respectively.
