LINE Yahoo Debuts AI-Driven Shopping Point Optimization System

Tokyo, Japan - LINE Yahoo Corporation has introduced an artificial intelligence feature in beta that recommends optimal purchase dates on Yahoo! Shopping. 

The system analyzes a seven-day window to identify dates offering maximum point rewards for purchases.

The feature is exclusively available on the Yahoo! Shopping iOS application. 

The system calculates recommendations through a dedicated button on product pages. 

It analyzes the user's LYP Premium membership status and product categories to determine the optimal purchase timing.

Yahoo! Shopping provides a standard 5% reward rate in PayPay points for regular users who meet payment requirements. 

LYP Premium members receive an elevated 7% reward rate. 

The points include standard PayPay points with no expiration date and time-limited points restricted to specific LINE Yahoo Group services.

The feature leverages OpenAI's API technology for processing recommendations. 

The beta version is undergoing gradual deployment across compatible devices. 

LINE Yahoo notes that select products are excluded from the recommendation system, and the company reserves the right to modify or discontinue the beta feature without advance notification.

The system operates under the LINE Yahoo Common Terms of Use agreement. 

Time-limited PayPay points cannot be withdrawn or transferred, while standard PayPay points remain valid across all PayPay affiliated merchants.
