Tokyo, Japan - LY Corporation announced the release of a new regional specialty product developed through its LINE Open Chat platform.

The product emerged from a regional revitalization project initiated in August 2024.

The new product line, "Mocchi's Umacchi Oil-Preserved Delicacy," comprises three variants featuring local ingredients.

The Yamato Chicken Mince costs JPY 1,100, the beef Mince with Cheese is JPY 1,180, and the chicken Breast with Japanese Pepper is JPY 1,000, excluding tax.

The products combine Yamato beef and chicken with Nara-zuke pickles in a specialized oil preparation.

They incorporate an udon soup base, cream cheese, and Japanese pepper.

The development involved collaboration between local comedian Mocchi, the Nara Chamber of Commerce, and Mekiki 358 Corporation.

The product stemmed from ideas gathered in a dedicated sub-talk room within the "Nara Gourmet Umacchi Information Magazine" chat group, which has accumulated 190 members as of January 24, 2025.

Distribution will commence through Mekiki 358 Corporation's e-commerce platform and the Crossway Nakamachi roadside station in Nara City, and expanded distribution channels are planned.

The initiative represents LINE Open Chat's first official product development project since its launch in 2019.
