Naver and LG U+ Announce Partnership to Strengthen Media Services Competitiveness.

Naver(KRX: 035420) and LG U+(KRX: 032640) have announced plans to strengthen their media services’ competitiveness.

The two companies have signed a business agreement and plan to create synergies in the media sector by combining the two companies’ platform capabilities and service expertise.

The collaboration aims to enable users to use Naver’s audio service more efficiently and conveniently and to ensure competitiveness as a media platform by introducing various music-based content.

Under the collaboration, LG U+ subscribers will gain access to Naver’s AI-based music service, Vibe, with additional benefits such as unlimited music listening data for KRW 8,700 per month and a 20% discount when using membership points.

The two companies have also launched the ‘V Coloring Vibe Plus’ service, which combines V Coloring and Vibe.

Subscriptions to Vibe are also part of the media benefits subscribers to 5G/LTE plans worth KRW 90,000 or more receive.

This partnership aims to strengthen the competitiveness of both companies in the media services market.

Naver will attract new users by combining Vibe with telecom services, while LG U+ will improve customer satisfaction through high-quality audio services.

The companies also plan to strengthen their content competitiveness on both platforms, for example, by broadcasting content produced by LG U+ through Naver’s entertainment platform and creating content together.
