Naver Cloud Implements On-Premise AI Model for Mirae Asset Securities

Seoul, South Korea—Naver Cloud announced on Thursday that it has completed implementing a specialized small language model (sLLM) for financial environments at Mirae Asset Securities.

The sLLM, based on Naver Cloud's lightweight model 'HyperClovaX DASH' (HCX-DASH), has been deployed in Mirae Asset Securities' on-premise environment.

Naver Cloud emphasized this as the first case of its LLM implementation business. 

It is aimed at companies in the public and financial sectors reluctant to adopt cloud-based generative AI due to security concerns.

The 'on-premise LLM' is implemented within a company's IT infrastructure.

Naver Cloud provided the HCX-DASH model, class codes for learning Mirae Asset Securities' data, and technical support.

Mirae Asset Securities stated that the on-premise LLM was the best choice for complying with current financial regulations and enabling business innovation through AI utilization.

Naver Cloud executive director Taegeon Lim said this development strengthens their lineup of AI services, allowing customers to choose the form that best suits their needs and environment for using generative AI.
