Seoul, South Korea - NAVER Cloud has secured a contract to provide Desktop-as-a-Service (DaaS) solutions for Korea Post, marking a significant expansion in the public cloud services sector.

The contract, awarded after a competitive bidding process involving five companies, will implement cloud-based internet PC services for 33,000 Korea Post employees.

NAVER Cloud's technical proposal includes integrating HyperCLOVA X-based artificial intelligence customized for Korea Post operations with the Whale browser platform for enhanced security.

The implementation will be conducted in partnership with SK Broadband, which will leverage its expertise in Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) to provide customizable solutions and operational management.

NAVER Cloud's experience includes DaaS implementations for the Korea Internet & Security Agency, Seoul National University Hospital, and the Bank of Korea.

The company's Public Business Leader stated the project will focus on delivering high-performance DaaS services with enhanced security protocols.

DaaS technology enables cloud-based desktop virtualization, allowing corporate network access independent of location or device.

The service features scalable desktop deployment, reduced hardware management costs, and centralized data security through cloud server storage.
