Naver D2SF has made a follow-on investment in 3D content technology startup N.Light.

This follows Naver D2SF’s initial investment in N.Light in 2021. Since then, the two companies have collaborated closely, including the joint development of a web-based 3D design studio using Naver Smart Editor.

N.Light raised a total of KRW 8 billion in its Series A funding round led by IMM Investment.

N.Light’s core product, N. CAD, is a design studio that enables the easy creation of high-quality 3D assets.

It is compatible with various platforms, such as ZEPETO, and has a user-friendly interface.

It is trendy among teenagers, as 60% of its users belong to this demographic.

Since its release, over 300,000 3D assets have been created with N. CAD.

The collaboration between N.Light and Naver Smart Editor has led to the development of a web-based 3D design studio that extends the functionality of N. CAD and is scheduled for official launch in the first half of 2023.

This product has already received recognition and won the CES 2023 Innovation Award.

N.Light aims to provide a convenient environment for 3D content creation to a broader audience and expand its B2B offering by establishing a cloud-based 3D content marketplace.

The company already sees growing global enterprise customers across various industries, including metaverse platforms, retail companies, and interiors.

Naver is actively working with several startups in which D2SF has invested, such as Gaudio Lab, which has developed immersive audio technology that will be applied to Naver’s ‘Now’ service.

Naver Labs and Naver Cloud are also working with Morai to develop autonomous driving simulations and enterprise collaboration.
